No. Your original Rise export is untouched unless Automatic Course patching is enabled. Even then, the original download is cancelled and replaced with a patched version. You can disable this feature at any time to download the original file directly.

No personal data is collected by default. All core features run entirely on your device without tracking or sign-in.

If you choose to upgrade to Pro Mode (optional), your email address is used solely for licensing and support. Payments are securely processed via Lemon Squeezy, a Stripe company that handles all payment data according to their own privacy policy.

When you upgrade to Pro Mode, you receive a license key from Lemon Squeezy, our secure payment and licensing provider.

Our extension checks your license locally and uses a Cloudflare Worker as a lightweight proxy to verify license status with Lemon Squeezy’s API. No personal data or files are transmitted — only the license key is checked for validity.

This check ensures your subscription is active, and helps keep everything fast, private, and secure.

Your Pro Mode license is designed for individual use and can be actively used on up to 2 devices per person simultaneously. This allows you to easily use it across your desktop and laptop, or any two machines you frequently work from.

If you need to move your license to a new or third device, and you've already reached your limit, please contact us at info@overridelabs.ca, and we'll gladly assist you. We plan to add this to the extension itself soon.

Our goal is for you to be confident in your Pro Mode subscription. That's why we offer a no-obligation, 7-day free trial that unlocks all Pro features. This trial is available for the monthly version only due to a limitation of of payment processor. We encourage you to use this period to thoroughly test everything and see if it's the right fit for your workflow.

Because the trial provides a full evaluation opportunity, we generally do not offer refunds on active subscriptions. Subscription management, including cancellations, is available on a self-serve basis. This helps us dedicate more resources to enhancing the product.

Your customizations will not appear automatically in Articulate Review during the standard Rise publishing workflow. However, you can manually upload your patched courses to Review after processing them with Slate for Rise.

Slate for Rise is a post-processing tool that automates the steps required to apply your changes to local files after export. We do not have any servers or store any user data—everything happens locally on your device. In the future, we may explore optional support for automated Review integration, but this would always be a user-controlled feature that can be fully disabled for privacy and control.
